I like the fact that I am not in control, that the photographs are what happens, 

rather than the result only of the decision I make. 

You could say that’s the downside of photography, but it’s also why it is magic.

나는 내가 조정하고 있지 않다는, 즉  사진이란 내가 내린 결정의 결과물이 아니라, 

그저 일어나고 있는 일들일 뿐이라는 사실이 좋다.

이것이 사진의 부정적 측면이라고도 말할 수 있겠지만, 

그것은 또한 사진이 마법이 되는 이유이기도 한 것이다.
